Web Development

What we need from you

1. Description - goal of web site & the content you'd like to see
2. Text / Images - that you have already & want included
3. Budget - so we can scale the project to something you want to spend & can afford
4. Hosting Details - if you have hosting already, please provide ftp, database & control panel login details

The process in detail...

1. Project Description

We start by requesting you provide us with a description of what you want your project to achieve via email or post. The specification doesn't need to worry about 'how it will happen' just what you 'want to happen' & what you require functionality wise.

2. Quotation

We estimate the time and cost for your project by breaking down the development into identifiable tasks & applying a minimum and maximum time to complete each task. We also ask you to specify which are the higher priority and lower priority tasks, this allows us to to tweak where to spend more or less time to ensure we can finish the project within budget.

3. Agreement, down payment & project start

Once you are happy with the quotation we ask you make an initial payment which is usually 50% of the estimated total. Upon receiving down payment we can begin work proper on your project.

4. Provide text & imagery

So we can get a feel for the organisation, we appreciate you providing initial text & images you'd like on site, this doesn't have to be the final versions, just initial draft text.

5. Layout

Organise the layout with the intiial text/imagery/video content provided by you to work through the initial organisational aspect of the site & form a none graphical prototype. This gives us the rough frame for us to develop the full graphical version from.

6. Graphical Design

We outline & develop style you want to achieve for your site, we will usually come up with 3 written micro concepts which you can review & choose or we can choose the best suitable to develop.

7. Site Development

Here the site is developed, we provide regular status reports by email to keep you up-to-date as relevant things occur.

8. Quality Assurance

On completion of the pre-release/test version we under take load & user testing.

9. Launch site

When you are happy with the site, we upload to the web site / ftp address you provide us with and make the site public.
